Acknowledgement of Country
We acknowledge and honour the Jagera and Turrbal people as the Traditional Custodians of Meanjin (Brisbane), the ancestral lands on which we work and live. It is here that we gather and grow. We express our deep respect for the Elders of the Jagera and Turrbal communities – those who have guided us in the past, those among us today, and those who will emerge to lead in the future.
Furthermore, we extend our recognition to the enduring Australian Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander communities, who have persevered through historical invasion and dispossession. We admire and support their resilience in preserving their cultural heritage, identity, and fundamental Indigenous rights amidst ongoing challenges.
